Welcome to our Adoptable Pets Page.

Below you will see a variety of wonderful furry friends in all shapes, sizes and breeds. Each one of these fur-babies
are being fostered in very loving homes with a foster mom and family.

If you see a pet you are interested in making a part of your home fur-ever, please fill in the
adoption form and
forward it to us indicating the name of the dog. We will follow up promptly.  Please be aware we only accept email
inquiries and must ask that you allow 24 to 48 hours for a response.
No phone calls please. Each of our foster
homes is completely on a volunteer basis and have a huge responsibility to the dogs that are placed in their care
as well as their own families. Therefore, they can not always accept phone calls during the day.
Thank you for your understanding with this particular matter.

Before we place any dog on this list they are observed carefully for behavior and are vetted. We do not cage our
dogs, our volunteer foster parents care for them until we find a suitable home for each.

Don't forget you can also become a sponsor to one or more of the dogs you see on this page by
clicking here.

Please check this page often as we have many others being fostered now and will be posted
SOON.

"Hello, my name is Jose!"

"I'm a 6 year old Chihuahua who weighs 8.5 pounds.  I was rescued by
Papillon Pals from a kill shelter but no one is really sure why I was given up
or even put there..

I am housebroken and crate trained, I',m up to date on vaccines, tested
heart-worm & parasite negative, I've even been neutered and
micro-chipped.  My vet says I have a slight heart murmur (3 on a scale of
6) but it does not require medications or slow me down one bit.

My foster mom says I'm just a cuddly, happy boy who needs nothing more
than someone to love me forever.

If you think you might be that person for me, please email my "foster mom"
to ask questions and she'll get back with you ASAP".

Thank you for caring and listening,

A Special Note to our potential "Fur-Ever" Parents...

Though we take every effort to update our web-site as soon as there is new development with our foster babies, whether it be
an update from our foster mom's and dad's, A new adoption or A new arrival into our rescue,
it is asked that you please understand, we may be delayed somewhat in posting such important information.

Some of the dogs showing on our site as available for adoption may have been adopted prior to our site being updated.
therefore, It is requested that you click the link located under each dog to "Email us with a question"
asking if the dog you are interested in is still available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
but, we must advise that the welfare of our fur-babies has and always will come first.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
"Hello, my name is Cody!  I'm a Male, Long-haired Chihuahua who is
about 8 years old & weigh around 5 pounds.

I was left, anonymously, in the outdoor pen at Animal Control a while back
but now I'm living with a really great lady from Papillon Pals Rescue.  She's
promised to find me the perfect forever home.

My foster Mom thinks I'd be great for a retired person because I don't
require a lot of exercise am quite calm & content to spend my days
cuddling in the lap of my human.

I am great with men, women & children of all ages. I'm fine with other dogs
and although I've never met a cat, I think I'd like them too.  I am working on
potty training but need a good schedule to avoid an accident.
I don't lick or jump on people & am very quiet, even when I eat. You see, I
never got to go for dental checks before, so I don't have my teeth
anymore.  I LOVE to eat, it just has to be soft food these days.

I am up to date on all of my shots I've tested heart-worm negative, I have a
microchip & I'm even neutered.  I take a monthly heart-worm & flea/tick
preventative too.

If you want to ask any questions or file an adoption application please
email my foster mom she'll get back with you lickity split. Thanks for
listening "

Peanut is being fostered in:
Tallahassee, Florida
"Hello, my name is Peanut!  I am a 4 year old, Male, Papi-mix who weighs in at 9 Lbs.

My foster Mom says I am a brilliant boy who learns very quickly, so training should be a breeze.  I am
crate trained but could use some practice to become 100% housebroken.

My favorite things to do are ride in the car, take walks on-leash, and run free in a fully fenced yard.  My
foster mommy knows that energetic dogs need lots of exercise or they get board and that's when 'issues'
can arise.

I like children from a distance but am too small & energetic to live with them.  I'd be much better with an all
adult family.

Foster Mommy took me to the vet and updated all of my vaccines and had me tested for heart-worms
(results: negative). I've also been neutered (that was an ouchy!) and I was micro-chipped too.

If you are looking for an adorable, spunky little dog with personality,
I'm your boy!!  If you'd like an adoption application or more information, please email my foster mom.

Thank you for considering giving me a second chance at happiness"

Cheech is being fostered in
Jacksonville Florida
"Hola, my name is Cheech.  I'm a 4 lb., Male Chihuahua and I'm lookin'
for love!

I was surrendered with my friend Freckles to Papillon Pals Rescue
because my first owner's child was severely allergic.

I am very lively, give kisses freely and never met a human over the age
of 5 that I didn't like.  I get along with other dogs but have never met a
cat so I'm not sure how I feel about them.  From what I understand,
they're pretty quick so, they might be fun to play chase with!

I met a guy in a white coat the other day...my Foster Mom called him a
vet.  This guy poked my tiny body in places - ooh!  I'll spare you the
details. He said that I had to stay overnight with my friend Freckles to be
"fixed"...I didn't even know I was broken!  After a very long sleep, my
Foster Mom came back and they told her I was neutered, heart-worm
and parasite negative, up to date on all vaccines and I was
micro-chipped.

Since all the yucky stuff is over with, I can start thinking about my forever
home.  I'm just a happy go lucky little charmer with a tail that never stops
wagging!
If you think you could love me for the rest of my life and you aren't
allergic to dogs, please email my Foster Mom by clicking the button
below for questions about me or you can fill out a no obligation adoption
application. She will get back with you as soon as possible. At least
within 24 hours. Okay well that's all, Thank you and I hope to see you
soon."

Dolly is being fostered in
Jacksonville Florida
"Hello, my name is Dolly!  I'm a young, 8" tall, nearly nine pound,
housebroken, female, Papillon.

I was surrendered by my owner, along with my two "Pap" friends,
Harmony & Mr. Mister.  Although she loved us dearly, she could no
longer afford to care for us, so she gave the three of us to some people
who could, Papillon Pals Rescue.

My new temporary mom is called a foster.  She says I am like my
name...a little doll!  I'm a bit shy & stay just out of reach but dance &
wag my tail because I want so much to be social, I'm just not sure how to
do it yet.

Some of the things I like to do are: snuggling in my Foster Mom's lap,
riding in the car (I stay in a "lay" position) and I like sleeping in "The Big
Bed" with my Foster Mom.

In my last home, I was forced to eat & sleep in my crate. That led to
some issues regarding how close you could get to it before I growled
but only menacingly.  My Foster Mom fixed that problem right away by
removing the crate & allowing me some space of my own in the corner of
the room.

I am up to date on all vaccines, including Bordetella & Rabies, I have
been spayed, I've tested heart-worm & parasite negative and I've also
been micro-chipped.

My Foster Mom says I'm just a tiny, little, love-bug that's looking for the
right someone to help me feel safe with humans.

If you think you might be that person, please email mom by clicking the
ling below for a no obligation adoption application or to ask questions."

I thank you sincerely,

Harmony is being fostered in
Orange Park Florida
"Hello.  My name is Harmony and I'm a purebred Papillon girl who is 3.5
years old & weighs 9 pounds.

My owners fell upon hard times and reluctantly decided to surrender me
and 3 of my "Pap" friends to the Papillon Pals Rescue Group.

My temporary mom, called my Foster Mom, is a wonderful lady who has
promised to find me a loving home where I can live happily for the rest of
my life.

I was taken to the doggie doctor who said I'm a very healthy little girl.  I am
now up to date on all vaccines, including Bordetella & Rabies.  I tested
heart-worm and parasite NEGATIVE and I am spayed and micro-chipped.

My Foster Mom says I'm quiet, sweet and the ultimate little lap dog...I
could stay there all day!  I get along with children, dogs and even
kitty-cats.  I do prefer to dine alone though.

If you've been searching for a little companion to share your life with, or if
you just have a few questions please email my foster mom by clicking the
button below and she'll respond within 24 hours.

Thank you for looking at me ... I'll be keeping my little paws crossed."

Kaya is being fostered in
Jacksonville Florida
Meet Kaya!!  This sweet girl is a 10-12 week old German Shepherd
puppy. She's a tiny 19 lbs now but is growing quickly. She will likely be
plush or long-coated as an adult.

After a rough start in life & abandonment at the shelter, Miss Kaya is
searching for her "fur-ever" home. She is currently recuperating from
Kennel cough but once her treatment is complete she will be spayed.

If you are interested in adopting Kaya, please email us for an application
or further information.

Thank you
Yea, it looks like this sweet girl may have a "Fur-Ever" home.
Her adoption is pending!
Webster is being fostered in
Birmingham, AL
"Hello, my name is Webster! I'm an 18 month old, Male, Papillon mix
who weighs 19 lbs of pure muscle.

Animal Control found me  wandering around in a cemetery and brought
me to their shelter in Georgia.  Not too long after that, I heard someone
say the shelter was full to capacity and they needed to 'make room' for
another dog.  Luckily, someone from Papillon Pals found out about the
situation and rescued me.

Papillon Pals transported me from Georgia to Alabama and that's where
I'm living now with my sweet foster mom. She has promised to find me a
wonderful forever home where I can share all the love I have to give.

My perfect forever home would have a securely fenced yard for a puppy
like me to run & play.  I like having other dogs to play with, so that would
be nice but it isn't required.  I can live in a house with cats but I don't
have any interest in playing with them.  I do like to play with humans of
all shapes and sizes though.

I have been to the vet and I'm neutered, up to date on all of my shots,
I've tested heart-worm and parasite negative and I've also been
micro-chipped.

My Foster Mom wants you to know that I am crate trained but still need
more practice to be considered fully housebroken.

If you think we might make a love connection, please contact my foster
mommy with questions or fill out an adoption application. She'll respond
within 24 hours to your inquiries.

Well thanks for listening.

With Hope and Anticipation,

Jack is being fostered in
St. Augustine, FL
"Hi, My name is Jack but I'll also answer to Happy Jack and Smilin' Jack!

I'm just thirteen months old and weigh eighteen pounds. I am a Lhasa
Apso with papers to prove it!

I came from an amazing family who loved me so much, that they were
willing to break their own hearts in order to give me a better life.

Not long ago, my little human sisters became interested in a variety of
activities which took them away from home more and more.  As the
activities grew in number, so did the amount of time I had to spend gated
in the kitchen and that made me very sad. Seeing me this way, made my
Mommy and Daddy feel very guilty.

So, after many discussions and many, many tears, they decided that it
wasn't fair for a puppy as sweet and loving as I am, to be alone so often
with no one to play with.  That's when Mommy connected with Papillon
Pals Rescue. They are awesome!

My Foster Mom vowed to my Mommy find me the best forever home
available.  She believes I am the cutest, most loving and well behaved dog
she's ever met...but don't tell her other dogs she said that!

I am housebroken, Neutered, up to date on shots, tested heart-worm and
parasite negative and I've also been micro-chipped.  I understand basic
commands such as Sit!, Stay!, Shake! and Come!  I like to fetch, chase
and swim in the pool.  I also LOVE to ride in the car and feel the air
rushing through my soft, flowing locks...ahh.

It would be nice to find a home with a stay at home person who has kids
and/or another dog friend to keep me company.  I've lived with cats before
and they're fine to look at but I don't prefer to play with them.  Since I'm
still a puppy, I really need a securely fenced yard to keep me safe and
allow me plenty of room to romp and play around.

If you have any questions or would like an adoption application, please
email my foster mommy by clicking below and she'll get back to you ASAP.
Thanks and I hope to see you soon.

With Hope & Gratitude,
Jack in St. Augustine
Hello there, my name is Rocky but most just call me Rocky-Racoon!
I'm a long-haired Chihuahua who weighs 7 pounds & is about 8 years old.
(That's mid-life for Chi's like me).

I was found by Animal Control wandering around on the side of the road.
They brought me to the shelter but nobody wanted me until...a very nice
lady from Papillon Pals Rescue saw me and knew I was much too cute
and friendly to leave behind.

I went to the vet where I was brought up to date on all shots including
Bordetella & Rabies, I've tested heart-worm & parasite negative, I was
neutered and micro-chipped too.  Doc said I'm the picture of health
considering the life I left behind.

My foster mommy thinks I was probably a puppy mill stud kept in a cage
my entire life.  I never learned how to walk properly on a leash but now
I'm getting the hang of it.  I also never learned to potty outside. I've been
working on that for a while and do my business outside most of the time
my foster mom finds it best to keep me in a belly-band while in the house
to keep me from marking my territory (we males like to do that
sometimes).  The band has a disposable pad inside that keeps me from
"marking" in the house.  Foster Mommy thinks this is a tough habit to
break while living in a home full of foster dogs!  There is a chance this
habit will be broken if I'm the only pup in the family.

If I could choose my forever home it would definitely be one where I had a
stay-at-home person keeping me company all day!  It would also be
grand if I could be the only animal in the house.  Then, the icing on the
cake would be having a fenced in yard for me to run "zoomies" around.
It's almost to much to hope for!

Please give me chance to fulfill my dream of being part of a wonderful
family.  I'd be the perfect companion for someone living alone who wants
the company of a very loving, sweet and devoted little dog.  I'm not yappy
like most Chihuahua's and promise to give you my unconditional love
forever.

With Sincerest Hope,
Rocky in Jacksonville, FL
Amee is being fostered in
Jacksonville Florida
"Hi, my name is Amee.  I'm a 2 and a half year old, female Chihuahua
who weighs only 7 pounds.

I was brought into Papillon Pals Rescue with my pal Cheech.  Our first
Mommy bought us to help teach her young child to be gentle &
responsible.  Unfortunately, they didn't know that Chi's are not
hypoallergenic & shortly after arriving in the home,  the child became very
ill from allergies to us.

Now we have a new, temporary Mom called a Foster Mommy.  She's so
sweet to us!  Our Foster Mom took us to see the doggie doctor who
updated out shots, tested us for parasites & heart-worms which was
negative, spayed and neutered us and gave us each a micro-chip.

I'm very shy, gentle & quiet.  I'm not very active, I'm just happy to be held
by you.  In fact, my favorite thing to do is to snuggle in between the curve
of your neck and your shoulder and drift off to sleep.  I'll stay there as
long as you let me or until you get up & start moving again.

I can live with another dog as long as it shares my size & temperament.
I'm easily frightened by strangers and small children though.
My perfect home would be with a retired person, or a Stay-At-Home Mom.

If you'd like to share your calm days with a small, housebroken
sweetheart, then I'm your girl!  Please email my foster mom at if you have
any questions or would like an adoption application. She'll respond to you
within 24 hours. Thanks for sitting a bit and listening"

With Hope in My Heart,
Amee in Jacksonville, FL
